#tbt to Feb. of 2009. Eight years ago this month I had the idea for our first product - the Hot Iron Holster. I had just returned to work after our second daughter was born and needed somewhere to put my flat iron as I got ready at my pedestal sink. I found the solution in my kitchen from a couple silicone hot pads and oven mitt. Using my grandma's sewing machine, I squeezed those layers of silicone through and made my first prototype (which I used for almost 2 yrs). My husband came home in the middle of it and gave me a look like, "What are you doing?" Little did I know I was starting a company. Life is crazy. You never quite know where it is going to take you - but don't be afraid to find out!
