Because Holster Brands is officially against Heart Attacks, my family and I had the opportunity to participate in the second annual Carlsbad SCADaddle 5K yesterday to raise awareness and funds for SCAD research. We wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who organized it and came to support!!

Needing a reason to come to San Diego next weekend? Come join us for a 5K run/walk along the beach to raise money for SCAD Research. From the ocean view, to the pre-walk jazzercise - it will not disappoint! At the end there will also be a Holster Brands pop-up shop along with other vendors! While you think about it, I will leave you with a SCAD fact: The average age of a SCAD patient is about 42 years but it can occur in people as young as their early 20’s. SCADaddle.org

We are getting more personal around here today. For those of you that don't know me, my name is Erin. I am a mom of 3 sweet kids, wife to a wonderful husband, and the founder of Holster Brands. Prior to starting this company, I was an ER nurse working the evening shift. Six years ago, I had an idea for our first product, the Hot Iron Holster. I knew there were going to be a lot of challenges when starting this company - but one challenge I never expected was having a heart attack. Life changed a little for me that day - and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my heart. In the upcoming weeks we will have more announcements about how we want to help spread awareness about SCAD and raise money for more research. Please say tuned - and thank you!
